Colon Therapy for Weight Loss

Colon Hydrotherapy Services

What is colon hydrotherapy? Colon cleanse therapy, also known as colon hydrotherapy, is one of the most effective ways to rid the body of toxic buildup and waste. It is a gentle way of hydrating the colon, allowing your body to naturally release the debris, plaque/sludge that has been building up. Research shows the average American retains over 20 lbs. of waste. This waste can contribute to disease and illness. Cleansing is essential to health and wellness. Once the body is rid of toxins, the nutrients from food, vitamins, and supplements can be more easily assimilated and absorbed.

What are the benefits of Colon Hydrotherapy?

The #1 reason that clients seek colon hydrotherapy is constipation and bloating. It is also commonly used to treat acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).  Truly anyone could benefit from cleansing the colon lining. When you remove “garbage” from any system, the entire system works better.
After the cleansing process, clients feel the urge to retain the cleanliness that they feel and tend to adopt a cleaner diet. Colon hydrotherapy clients have reported increased energy and clearer thinking after the process.

How does Colon Hydrotherapy Work?

At Pure On Main, each client is given a discrete and clean colon hydrotherapy experience in a spa-like room with low lighting. The client is given the privacy of undressing in the room, and a sheet and pillow so that the client is fully covered and comfortable during the process.
A tube is introduced into the rectum that gently and slowly introduces 20 gallons of filtered water (which goes through a filtration process 4x before use) to the colon. There is another tube that is used to release the waste. Over a 45 minute period, the colon hydrotherapy process uses the alternating slow fill and slow release of the water into and from the colon. There is no “pulling” of the water at any time. The process relaxes the colon and allows it to naturally push out what needs to leave.
During the experience our colon hydrotherapists will talk to you about nutrition, vitamins, exercise and all of their other areas of knowledge! They will also view a sample of the waste in the viewing tube to understand more about what may be specific to your colon health needs.

Is colon hydrotherapy sanitary and safe?

Yes, colon hydrotherapy via the AquaCleanse machine is FDA approved and completely sanitary. Pure On Main’s stainless steel AquaCleanse machine is the only FDA certified machine in Greenville, SC and the surrounding area. Pure On Main has made the investment in the newest and most advanced machine on the market to ensure only the best for your health.
All tubes are disposable and never reused. The system is self-contained, meaning that there’s no room for cross-contamination and no odor. The water introduced into the colon goes through a 4x filtration process.

Should you get colon hydrotherapy before a colonoscopy?

Colon hydrotherapy is frequently used as a replacement for traditional colonoscopy prep, which typically involves taking harsh laxatives. This process can be very challenging on the body. Colon hydrotherapy achieves similar results of cleansing the colon before the colonoscopy, but in a much gentler fashion.

Doesn’t the body naturally cleanse the colon on its own?

The team at Pure On Main believes that we were originally created to get rid of all of our waste on our own. Unfortunately the amount of pollutants in our environment and toxins in our food have made it more difficult for our bodies to naturally get rid of waste.
The irrigation of the colon pulls out any of these poisons and toxins. In fact, the process of colon hydrotherapy dates to the ancient Egyptians, who would administer colon hydrotherapy to kings and queens.

Does colon hydrotherapy hurt?

Colon hydrotherapy can be a bit uncomfortable due to the tube inserted in the rectum, but in general clients do not experience pain from the gentle hydration. It is much slower and gentler than an enema. Once the therapy is complete, clients walk out feeling amazing and cleansed!

Does insurance cover colon hydrotherapy?

Some insurance providers will reimburse you for colon hydrotherapy services. Check with your healthcare provider for details.

How often do you need to do colon hydrotherapy?

Colon hydrotherapy treatment cadences vary based on four factors:

  • Diet

  • Exercise

  • Sleep

  • Stress

It is typically recommended to do 3-6 sessions fairly close together in the beginning to get a “clean slate.” Maintenance schedules differ for each individual, ranging from 4-12 times per year. It may also depend on upcoming events. Triathletes, for example, will typically come in the week before a big race.

Can colon hydrotherapy help with weight loss?

Colon hydrotherapy can help to speed weight loss, as part of a healthy lifestyle and diet. Some Pure On Main customers have lost over 100 pounds while receiving regular colon hydrotherapy. It jump starts a whole new lifestyle. The cleaner you feel, the less you want to put the bad in.

Are there dangers of colon hydrotherapy?

The health of our customers means everything to us! Each Pure On Main colon hydrotherapy client must first fill out an intake form that checks for common health conditions that may pose a risk with colon hydrotherapy. If any of these conditions is indicated by the client, they must first get a doctor’s note for our practitioners to perform the procedure.
